About Us

Richard Corvino received his Masters degree from the University of Arizona and went on to become a Certified NLP Master Practitioner and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.

He is the Director of Education and founder of Wesland Institue, a state licensed training center that offers comprehensive and affordable hypnotherapy and NLP certification programs. Wesland Institute began operation in 1988.

It is located in Tucson, Arizona which is known for its tranquil, spiritual, and life transforming environment.

Richard began his career as a marriage and family counselor and later added addiction counseling. After being in practice for five years he incorporated hypnotherapy and NLP and found that his clients were able to reach their goals quickly, without months or years of conventional talk therapy. Day after day he saw his clients transform their lives in seemingly record time. As his passion for hypnotherapy and NLP grew, so did his desire to teach what he was learning.

Richard created Wesland Institute to be absent of any marketing glitz or superficial, formula-based training methods. What distinguishes Wesland Institute from other hypnotherapy or NLP programs is its focus on personal growth. As Director of Education, Richard is a coach and mentor, guiding his students to uncover their unique abilities so they can easily understand and apply what they are learning.

Over 3,000 students have received their certification as clinical hypnotherapists and neuro linguistic practitioners at Wesland Institute. At least 2,000 have gone on to develop successful practices or incorporate the knowledge in their established practices.

During his career Richard has served on many boards, notably the advisory board of the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDH) and the research board of the Stillman Institute. He received an Achievement Award from the University of Arizona for his contribution to the future counselors graduating from the counseling department. Richard is presently teaching and using hypnosis and NLP in his private sessions.
